Handmade
Seasons preserved, by hand
At Ecotism, growing our own food is just the beginning. What we don’t enjoy straight from the garden, we turn into something else—something handmade, seasonal, and a little bit special. From golden honey and beeswax candles to jams, pickles, pies, and summer lemonade, these are the things we love to make with what nature gives us. You won’t find them in an online shop, but now and then we bring a selection to local garden fairs. If you happen to visit, come say hej!
Fresh & Tasty
At Ecotism, we love turning fruit and vegetables from our own garden into delicious juices, jams, and healthy meals.
Fresh Rhubarb Juice
Rhubarb juice is delicious, thirst-quenching and healthy. It’s packed with minerals, vitamins, organic compounds and other nutrients that are essential for maintaining good health. To make the juice, we add a few stalks of rhubarb, lemons, water and sugar. After a hard day’s work in the garden, it tastes wonderful.

Life Around the Beehives
Wings shimmer in the sun as bees come and go — hums in the air, honey in the making, and a soft sweetness on the breeze.
From Hive to Home
Our two garden beehives are home to some of our hardest-working friends. They gift us golden honey and pure beeswax, which we turn into sweet jars and hand-poured candles. It’s a small cycle of care we’re proud to be part of.
Almost Autumn Apples
Heavy with sweetness, still hanging in the late-summer sun.
The Apple Harvest
Every year, the trees offer more than we can eat — so we bake, slice, simmer and share. Dutch apple pie is a favourite, but we’re always trying new things with this sweet and generous fruit.

Gherkins on the Vine
Sun-warmed, crisp, and almost ready for the jar.
Pickled with Love
Each jar starts with a handful of handpicked gherkins and a quiet moment in the garden. We add blackcurrant leaves, garlic, pepper, and fresh dill seeds — all from our little plot. The result? Crisp, tangy bites that taste like late summer.
Handmade beyond the kitchen
At Ecotism, handmade doesn’t stop at food. Just as we enjoy making rhubarb juice, honey, and beeswax candles, we also create tools that make our garden thrive. From simple planter boxes and trellises to a composter and small greenhouse, many of these are built by hand from upcycled materials. They are practical, sustainable, and part of the same philosophy: making the most of what we have, while working with nature.
Soon we’ll share more about these garden creations on a dedicated page — so you can see how everyday materials can be turned into useful tools for a more sustainable lifestyle.
